GENEROUS SEED COUNT
Each package contains exactly 15 genuine seeds β the ideal amount to start your own stunning miniature aquatic ecosystem.
1. Seed Preparation (Scarification)
Lotus seeds have a hard outer shell. To allow water to penetrate, you MUST gently file or nick the dimpled/round end of the seed (not the pointy end) until you barely see the cream-colored core. Do not damage the core.
2. Water Soaking
Place the scarified seeds in a bowl of warm, clean water (about 70-80Β°F). Change the water completely every single day to prevent rotting.
3. Germination
Within 5 to 7 days, a small green sprout will emerge from the nicked end. Continue changing the water daily as the stem grows toward the surface.
4. Transplanting
Once the seedling has developed a few floating leaves and a healthy root system (usually 2-3 weeks), transplant it into a decorative bowl. Fill the bottom 2 inches with aquatic pond mud or heavy topsoil, plant the roots gently into the mud, and fill the rest of the bowl with water.
5. Care
Place the bowl in a very sunny location (at least 6 hours of direct sunlight daily). Keep the water level topped up. If grown indoors, a bright south-facing window or a grow light is essential for blooming.
