Perfect for raised beds, deep garden plots, and healthy snacking right out of the soil. Our high-viability, Heirloom seeds will help you produce a uniform, abundant crop of beautiful red carrots that will add incredible visual appeal and gourmet taste to salads, juices, and roasted dishes!
1. Starting Outdoors
Direct sow seeds outdoors 2-3 weeks before your last spring frost. Carrots do not transplant well.
2. Germination
Sow seeds 1/4 inch deep. Keep the soil surface constantly moist until emergence. Sprouts typically appear within 14-21 days.
3. Thinning
Once seedlings are 2 inches tall, thin them carefully to 2-3 inches apart to give roots room to expand.
4. Care
Water consistently to prevent root splitting. Ensure the soil is loose and free of stones for straight root growth.
5. Harvesting
Harvest in about 70-80 days when roots reach the desired size.
